The Stihl chainsaw comes with a safety feature called a, "quick stop" chain brake which will cause the chain to stop turning if kickback occurs. Stihl isn't the only chainsaw company that offers special safety features on their chainsaws, but all things considered Stihl chainsaws come out on top of the chainsaw pile as number one. Just keep in mind that the number one chainsaw for you is the one that you choose no matter what name brand you choose.
