Save Your Precious Time With Hand Blenders

Image
Are you willing to try out a new recipe that requires a lot of chopping, cutting and dicing? Are you too tired to do all that and just willing to give up that idea due to the amount of efforts required? You don't have to worry now, as a hand blender will help you with that recipe with the minimum utilization of your efforts and time. A hand blender is very easy and convenient to use. It has a number of important uses that has made it a necessity. It generally consists of two blades i.e. • Multi-purpose blade • Foam blade As the name suggests, multi-purpose blade can be used for almost every task but not for foaming. For this particular activity i.e. foaming, a foam blade is specially designed. Other than the blades, a blender often comes with wall brackets, storage cups, measuring cups, sauce containers and many more additional things. It totally depends upon the brand you select. A hand blender is actually a multi-functional device that can be used to grind many

Why to Buy a High Speed Blender? The More Powerful the Motor, the More a Blender Can Do for You

Image
High speed blenders are able to perform certain tasks that "regular" blenders are not able to do, e.g., make nut butters, grind coffee beans, and create "really" smooth drinks. For individuals who wish to consume more raw food high speed blenders are an essential cooking appliance. The two brands that are most used are Vitamix and Blendtec blender. High speed blenders are the best blenders when it comes to making green smoothies. No more "sip and chew" or any fiber strings between your teeth. Tough leafy greens such as kale, collard greens and parsley blend thoroughly, making them into delicious green smoothies. High speed blenders make the richest and creamiest smoothies. They are so addictive that you will make them every day. If not, you will be craving one. Many nutrition specialists say that because the high speed blenders break down the food into tiny pieces they can be much easier absorbed by our bodies, giving us the most food

Best Way to Clean Blender Pitchers? Clean Pitchers Are Important

Image
Blender pitchers with non removable blades. One piece blender pitchers, blenders with non removable blades, are generally seen as more difficult to clean. However, it really depends what you blend with your blender, and if you clean them straight after using them. If you only occasionally make for example peanut butter then this might not be too much of a concern for you. By the way most of the powerful blenders usually come with one piece pitchers. If the blender's pitcher is wide enough it is fairly easy to reach the bottom with a brush or by hand with a sponge. Narrow pitchers might be a bit more cumbersome to clean only by hand. If you did use your blender to make peanut butter or you did clean it straight after its use, try the following before attempting to clean your blender's pitcher by hand. Fill your pitcher ¼ full with warm water, add a few drops of detergent, place back onto the blender base, place the lid back on, and start your blender and run for

The Electric Blender: A Short History

Image
The electric blender, as we know it today, was invented in 1919 by Stephen Poplawski, owner of Stevens Electric Company. By 1922, after continuing to refine his invention, Poplawski patented the blender and began selling it through his company, the Stevens Electric Company, as a "drink mixer". This device was sold primarily to drugstore soda fountains to make milkshakes and malts. The Stevens Electric Company was bought by Oster Manufacturing in 1946 and Oster was purchased by Sunbeam products in 1960. Sunbeam Products is still in existence today, so you can still buy a direct descendant of the original blender! A few years after Poplawski's blender was introduced, in 1935, Fred Osius (who was also involved in founding the Hamilton Beach Company) developed his own blender and with funding from Fred Waring. A few years later the "Miracle Mixer" was produced and sold by Waring Products for household use. This appliance was known as the Waring Blendor (not

This can make a huge difference to the individual and their use of the blender. The right blender will be used more frequently and enrich the seniors' culinary experience. These are the key things to be aware of and to take in consideration when buying a blender for an elderly person. Light pitcher with good grip As seniors get older they loose strength in their forearms so it is very helpful if they have a blender pitcher that is light weight and ideally one with a good grip. This becomes even more important when the pitcher is full, especially if the content is hot, e.g., hot soup. Glass might be preferable by many but it is much heavier and if it does tip over or drops it is more likely to brake. Hopefully not landing on someone's toe or feet, such unnecessary accidents can be avoided. Easy to use and read controls

A standard reciprocating saw can cut through anything from overgrown hardwood branches to solid steel pipes. While everyone may want one of these, not everyone knows how to choose the best instrument for their personal needs. Following are a few points to help you end up with the reciprocating saw that will work best for you . Consider how you plan to use the saw. It's always sensible to think of the amount and kind of use to figure out the best tool for the job. If you plan to barely use the saw and only to cut your trees back or for other tiny repairs, you likely don't need a luxurious saw, however, if you are always trimming branches and doing demolition work you probably will need a more sturdy power saw. Cut Through Anything With a Masonry Saw and a Diamond Blade

Image
Stones, bricks and cement blocks are among the most popularly used materials for building different structures. Marbles and granites are also popularly used for making tiles which are used to decorate bathrooms and kitchens. These materials are also able to provide an attractive finish to kitchens and bathrooms. Among the reasons for the popularity of these materials is because they can last for a long time with minimal maintenance. However, cutting these materials is not as easy as cutting a pie. You can't use wood saws because they would lose their blades even before you cut half of these materials. Using hammers and other building tools may tend to break these materials into unusable pieces. Fortunately, there is something you can use to grind through these hard but fragile materials; and this tool is commonly called a diamond blade. This is usually attached to masonry saws; which are electrical devices specially made for grinding through marbles, granites, ceme

A good blender is an essential part of any kitchen, whether you're making smoothies and margaritas or pureeing summer tomatoes from the garden for homemade marinara. Use this blender buying guide to help you find the best blender for all of your culinary tasks. Durability When you're researching blenders, pay special attention to what materials the base and gear assembly are made of. What kind of jar the blender comes with (plastic, glass, polycarbonate or metal) also contributes to how long your blender will be of good service. Above all, pay attention to the warranty that comes with your blender just as you would

Commercial Kitchen Equipment Cleaning

Image
Oh no... not dirty kitchen! I have come across many people worried about their utensils and heavy appliances in their commercial kitchen set-ups, as they are unable to keep track of a cleaning schedule that is pertinent for such kitchens. It is especially true for most of the units during the rush period, especially at the end of the year, especially in India when all festivities and celebrations are lined up one after another. When I say dirty kitchen, it is not merely the environment; it has to do with the functionality of equipment and their overall condition that give a kitchen its real identity . We all know that daily cleaning is the only way to keep things in order, operational, but if that is not the case with your kitchen, you should rely on scheduling a cleaning exercise, almost like a mandatory training that corporate want their employee to go through. If your housekeeping department can stick to spring cleaning for rooms, why can't you do it for the kitc
